Pretty Cards with #simplestamping with simple masking and simple sponging with Rooted in Nature and a sneak peek at Daisy Lane

I absolutely love sponging with ink and I find it really relaxing. In this card I masked with an A6 post it note to give the crisp straight line. The stampset I used is Rooted in Nature. This is a fabulous set which is carrying over to the new catalogue but not as a bundle. If you would like this bundle, order before 31st of May to benefit from the 10% saving. I used Granny Apple Green and Coastal Cabana. I had so much fun making this card that I went on to use same techniques with the new Daisy Lane set which will be in the new Annual catalogue from June 2019. I used a torn paper edge for masking this time. I’m not so keen on this card but decided to share it anyway.

Inspired by my new coffee cup! with Tropical Chic

So while i was doing my shopping this week I treated myself to this lovely reusable bamboo coffee cup. It then inspired me to make this card using the tropical chic stampset along with the Coffee Cups Framelit Dies. I have also used the layering Squares dies to make the background to layer the cup onto.

The layering Squares and the Tropical Chic are carrying over to the new annual catalogue but the Coffee cafe and cups are not so if you dont have them please order soon as they may go out of stock very soon and although Tropical chic is carrying over it will no longer be available as a bundle, so if you buy it now you will save 10%.

Sneak Peek – Delightful Day #simplestamping

How lovely is this card? I received this stamp set as my prize patrol at onstage. I love the sentiments and the simple images. I think it is a perfect beginners set. I have simply stamped straight onto a piece of Very Vanilla, inked the edges and then adhered it to a card base with wet glue. So simple.

I will put the link to the stamp set once it is available for you to buy – the catalogue doesn’t go live until 4th June 2019.

InspireInk April 2019 Bloghop Tic Tac Toe Colour Challenge.

So here’s the deal! This month it’s a Tic Tac Toe challenge – which means you choose a row of 3 colours (up, down, across or diagonal). there are some gorgeous combinations in there that really motivated me, however there is one combination which really baffled me.

I couldn’t visualise Real Red, Blackberry Bliss and Coastal Cabana together so i decided to pick them and really challenge myself. It really was a challenge I made two cards and they went straight in the bin as they just didn’t work in my head and then I did this one and I love it – I think it has a dramatic effect but I’m sure it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea.

I teamed the colours up with Pressed Flowers and Love Abounds .

Pop back tomorrow to see the method video and measurements. For now have a look via the links below at all my fellow InspireInk buddies projects – as usual they will all be fab! click the button below to see what my lovely friends have made. Please leave us some comments and let us know that this is worthwhile.

Sponging and Embossing with Dandelion Wishes

I had a fun afternoon craft session with Liz on wednesday. We spent some of our time looking at all the things I brought back from Onstage but we still managed some crafting.

We sponged some colour randomly onto a strip of Very Vanilla 7cm x 21cm. stamped with versamark and embossed in clear then white then some in gold and some stamped with Early Espresso.

Let me know if you would prefer a video to show the method.

These cards were such fun to make – I’m really pleased with how they turned out and hope you like them too.

Update: I have filmed a very similar project in a different colour in this video below:

Geared Up Garage – simple anniversary card for my husband

I just wanted to share the card I made for my husband. Today is our eleventh wedding anniversary, Peter is a mechanic so I bought the Geared Up Garage set with him in mind. I absolutely love this set and so glad it’s carrying over to the next catalogue but if you want the 10% discount by buying it as a bundle get it ordered asap as it will no longer be available as a bundle in the new catalogue that goes live 4th June.

Anyway back to my story! I gave my hubby his gift and this card while he was getting ready for work, made myself a coffee and went back to bed with it and caught up with a few emails and You Tube videos. When I finally got up again I found a lovely gift of wine and chocolate on the table with this card propped against them open with this part showing!

This is the sentiment and part of the message I wrote for him and he ingeniously wrote his message opposite – too funny! Well he made me laugh and that can’t be bad.

Beautiful Bouquet card case.

I received the first card from Bex of Tranquil Bay at our team retreat in Telford. I really love the clean simplicity of it and I have more or less copied it just changed some colours and added a sentiment.to my video showing the method.
