This months challenge is….. To share your favourite creation of 2020! This is what I have chosen – I absolutely love this stamp set and I love the clean simplicity of this card I made.

As soon as i saw the Peony Garden Suite I knew I had to have it. I have always loved Peony Roses and for the first time since I moved to this garden I have some flowering! I love the sentiments and the floral stamps 

Materials:

base card whisper white card stock 29cm x 14.5cm scored at 14.5cm 

layer whisper white card stock 14cm x 14cm

Card Four Diorama Card

2 pieces of Night of Navy 10.5 cm x 18 cm

1 piece of Balmy Blue glimmer paper 10.5 cm x 15 cm

I piece of DSP 10.5 cm x 12 cm

 

Method:

Score the night of navy pieces on the long side at 3 cm and 15 cm

Then score the balmy blue glimmer paper at 1.5 cm and 13.5 cm on the long side.

Choose 2 nesting dies to cut the apertures

Using the smaller die cut an aperture in the middle of the glimmer paper

Using the larger die cut an aperture in the middle of 1 of the night of navy pieces.

Shimmer Sparkle and Shine is our theme this month. So I think this card fit the brief.

The card base is a piece of Bermuda Bay Card 29cm x 14.5cm folded in half to give a 14.5cm square card.

Black Glitter Paper layer 14cm square

Whisper White layer 13cm square

Shimmer – I have coloured the leaves with bermuda bay ink and Wink of Stella.

Sparkle is provided by Black Glitter Paper and Black glittered Ribbon

Shine is provided by our beautiful basic rhinestones.

Soft Suede card base 29 x 14.5 cm folded in half to give a square card base

Die cut poinsettia layers in red and green foil sheets

Real Red Double stitched satin ribbon

Piece of Crumb Cake for sentiment

 

Method:

Stick DSP to the card base

Put the wreath shape on with mini dimensionals

Gold Heat emboss the sentiment

Build the flowers with glue dots and stick to wreath shape

Trim the sentiment piece and adhere to card.

Embellish with Wonderful Gems.

Add a ribbon bow.

Card Four

Whisper White card base

Black glimmer paper 10.1cm x 7.4 cm

Plush poinsettia speciality paper the trellis pattern 10.1 cm x 6.8 cm

Plush poinsettia speciality paper the holly leaves – for die cutting

Beaded Pearls

Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon

White Crinkled Seam Binding

 

Method:

Silver heat emboss 3 layers of Poinsettia, die cut them and build flower with glue dots

Die cut 2 holly leaves from the plush paper

Stick the glimmer paper and plush paper onto the card base as above

Arrange 2 pieces of ribbon into bow loops and attach to card using glue dots

Stick the flower over the top of the ribbon and arrange the leaves underneath.

Stick the Beaded Pearl embellishment onto the flower.

Designer series paper 10.2 x 7.8 cm

Real red ink

Red velvet paper

Metallic sheet

 

Method:

Die cut and emboss the layers for the poinsettia in red velvet

Die cut some sprigs and a flower centre in metallic sheet.

Stamp a sentiment with real red

Assemble the flower using glue dots

Stick the DSP piece on to the card base

Arrange the flower and sprigs to please your eye and adhere to the card

Trim the sentiment strip to fit the card and stick it on.

Old Olive

Whisper white Die cut piece for sentiment

pearls

Method:

Fussy cut one of the poinsettias from the DSP

Using wink of stella and real red ink paint the cut out poinsettia and the piece of DSP

Stamp the sentiment onto the die cut piece with Old Olive and sponge the edge.

Stick DSP to card base then stick the cut flower where it pleases your eye. Add the sentiment with dimensionals

Decorate the flower centres with pearls.

Card One – Simple Stamping:

WhisperWhite card base – A4 sheet scored in half then cut in half

Real Red layer 10.1 x 14.4 cm

Whisper white layer 2 x 10.1 cm

Daffodil Delight

Method

Stamp the sentiment in the middle of the whisper white layer. Randomly stamp the poinsettia around the edge. Colour the flower centres with daffodil yellow and lightly sponge around the edge of the layer.

Adhere this to the real red layer attach the ribbon to this and then adhere to card base.

Finsh with a bow.

I am hopping today with the lovely Pootlers team. We have recently been meeting online and crafting with the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle. The Quite Curvy Bundle is an early release from the January – June 2021 Mini Catalogue and is available to everyone now! This blog hop will give you some amazing inspiration for crafting with this fun bundle. At our team event I did a showcase of 13 projects so watch out for more from me.

This project was inspired by Stampin Star Creations project from August 2019

I used the template below to cut the shape from a Vellum sheet then heat embossed the leaf stamp with gold embossing powder. then on the back of the vellum I coloured the leaves using dark and light Granny Apple Green blends. i used seal + to stick the edges together to form the shape. all you need is a wine glass and and led tea light. The photographs don’t do it justice.
