Inspire Ink Bloghop – Funfair/Carnival – Ferris Wheel Card

Oh what a fun theme for May. Happy memories of summer evenings at a funfair – in Scotland we call a funfair ‘the shows’. My friends and I would go to the shows with a few shillings and have a wonderful evening. The music, the smell of burnt sugar and hot dogs were all part of the experience and even today those sounds and smells evoke happy memories. Oh to be young again – apparently I’m on the brink of my second childhood!

I love the challenge of different themes set by other people and having to decide how I will interpret the idea. In my card I have used 2 Stamp Sets that I have had for a while but not used recently and combined them with the new in colours and a beautiful pearlised doily from the Share What You Love suite.

Stamp sets: Lift me Up and Thoughful Banners

The card base is in Basic Black

A4 card cut in half longways at 10.5cm and folded in half to give a tent fold card

The stamped and die cut elements are stuck directly onto the card base.

cutting the doily: This picture should help – cut away the coloured parts.

Another month has gone by and here we are with the April Inspireink blog hop. Is your year going as quickly as mine? I haven’t really used them but i have looked through them regularly because i love them.

Inspireink Bloghop – Sketch Card – Epic Celebrations

I am so thrilled to be able to take part in my 3rd Inspireink Bloghop! This month Keila has set us a sketch challenge. Challenges are great fun and a brilliant way to lift your crafting out of your comfort zones and keep your creativity juices flowing.

The stamp set I have used is Epic Celebrations which I got FREE from Sale-A-Bration. Only one week left – don’t miss out!

This week I have been doing a series of simple cards using free items from Sale-A-Bration so I decided to incorporate the two together. the Epic Celebration stamp set is a fun set that can be used for dozens of projects for young and old alike. I wanted to use the washi tape from myths and magic so based my colour choices around it. i have used Tranquil Tide, Lemon Lime Twist and Whisper White and I think they look pretty good together. Mostly stamping, punching and a little fussy cutting – this card is for any level of experience.

I hope you like it and I hope you will have a look around our Hop and give us all some feedback. I’m excited to see what all the other members have done. The fun thing is we can’t see each others work until the hop goes live but I am confident that my fellow demonstrators will have some fabulous projects to share with you using this sketch.

Please use the next button below to visit all the other folks taking part in the blog hop today. Sally is next – I wonder what she has made – i know it will be fab
