InspireINK Bloghop July 2020 Theme: In Colours. 12 x 12 inch full sheet stamping with Celebrating Sunflowers, Peaceful Poppies and Beautiful Friendship #stampinup

Welcome to the InspireINK Blog Hop for June 2020. The Theme this month is this years new In colours. I absolutely adore this group of colours and they work so well together as a palette.

This project is heavily inspired by Ruth from Artfulstampin with Ruth – I will link to Ruth at the bottom of this post after the blog hop links.

I have taken a 12 x 12 sheet of card stock and stamped in a wreath shape. This is my first attempt at doing a full sheet of stampin on 12 x 12 inch cardstock. I stamped with the intention of cutting this up. I have used several stamp sets but the only colours I have used are the 2020 -2022 In Colours. I have used quite a few different stamp sets but you can do something similar using stamps you already have.

Once I was finished stamping I cut the sheet into 4inch squares. and made nine cards.

Each card base is made from a piece of cardstock 5.5 inches x 11 inches and scored at 5.5 inches on the long side when folded on that score you have a 5.5 inch square card base.

one layer of Designer Series paper 5.25 inches square

a layer of In colour card stock 4.25 inch square

I matt and layered up the cards decorating each one with ribbon, enamel dots and sentiments as I thought appropriate at the time. The picture above shows how the bits of my sheet matched up and the picture below shows the cards the right way round as i decided to use each piece. All in all I really enjoyed this project and I am really pleased with the results. Of all the cards I like the middle one the best – which one do you think is best? Please let me know in the comments. 3 people will be chosen at random from the comments and i will send them one of these cards.

Please get a cuppa annd come enjoy our hop – I can’t wait to see the inspiring projects my fellows will have for us. Click below to be amazed!

Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop – Framed picture with See The Good and Tasteful Touches stamp sets #stampinup

Welcome to our Home Decor SU Style Blog Hop for July 2020! I hope you enjoy our designers choice hop.

This was my first play with See The Good stamp set. I cut an 8 inch square from a 12 x 12 sheet of Whisper White and I stamped with the Stamparatus. I kept moving the card round using one stamp at a time. It was fun and at the time I didn’t know I would end up with a piece I would want to frame but once I stopped I really like it. I think it would be nice in a Kitchen. I also used the flower stamp from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.

I couldn’t make up my mind when to stop as you can see from these next pictures. As you can see I used the sentiment stamps for texture and pattern rather than what they say.

Why don’t you get a cuppa and a comfy seat and have a wee look around our blog hop by clicking below – I know the ladies will have some amazing Home Decor projects to share – please let us know what you think by leaving some encouraging comments – thank you
