Jungle Fun with Silly Safari, Peaceful Days & Happy Hibiscus

Jungle Fun with Silly Safari, Peaceful Days & Happy Hibiscus

On Sunday evening 10th august 2025, I went live on YouTube for a bit of spontaneous crafty playtime, and what fun it turned out to be! My plan (if you could call it that!) was to mix three unlikely stamp sets—Silly Safari, Peaceful Days, and Happy Hibiscus—into one project. With no firm idea in mind, I set out with three stamp sets, three colours, and a sheet of white card.

It didn’t take long before the jungle started to come alive! I used masking techniques to tuck cheeky monkeys, zebras, and rhinos in behind bright hibiscus flowers and layered leaves. Suddenly, what started as “no ideas” became a one sheet wonder packed with colour, character, and texture.

💡 Top Tip: Sometimes the best projects come when you just start stamping and let the inspiration develop as you go. Don’t be afraid to play—you can always chop up your sheet later and see what works!

After plenty of stamping, layering, and even a bit of spattering, I chopped my jungle sheet into three children’s birthday cards. They’re bright, cheerful, and just a little bit silly—perfect for little ones. I also loved hearing from you all in the chat, especially when you encouraged me to bring the animals peeking through the flowers.

Here are a few highlights from the live:

  • A great bundle bargain tip (Happy Hibiscus is on last chance is cheaper bought separately!)

  • A masking demo with post-it notes to layer animals and flowers

  • Playing with colour combos like Strawberry Slush and Granny Apple Green

  • Adding fun textures and “jungle” splatters for extra depth

  • The final three-card reveal, full of bright colours and smiles

If you missed it live, you can watch the replay on my YouTube channel and craft along.

✨ And don’t forget—you’re always welcome to join my Jazzle Dazzle & Friends Craft Share group on Facebook. It’s a lovely place to share what you’ve been making, whether it’s inspired by my projects or your own creative spark.

Thanks again to everyone who joined me. Next time, who knows where our stamping adventure will take us?

#100 Cards 100 Days – 1. A Baby Card with Stampin’ Up! Cutest Onesie stamps and dies

100 Cards in 100 Days – Day 1: A Simple Baby Card

Hello and welcome!
I’m Janice from JazzleDazzleCraft.co.uk, an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator based in Scotland. Today I’m excited to kick off a brand-new creative adventure – my 100 Cards in 100 Days challenge!

Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing a daily cardmaking project with you. By the end of the series, we’ll be well on our way to Christmas and I’ll have a wonderful collection of handmade cards for all occasions.

Day 1: A Clean & Simple Baby Card

For the very first project, I decided to keep it sweet and simple with a handmade new baby card. These cards are always useful to keep in your stash, ready for when you hear the exciting news of a new arrival.

Supplies Used (Stampin’ Up!):

  • Baby vest (romper) stamp & coordinating die

  • Forever Plaid embossing folder

  • Pecan Pie ink

  • Basic White cardstock & scraps

  • Gold hearts and pearl embellishments

The card design is clean and minimal—just a stamped baby vest, a tiny heart, and a “new baby” sentiment. It’s a great reminder that card making for beginners doesn’t need to be complicated. With just a few supplies, you can create something heartfelt and special.

Crafting Tip of the Day

Don’t let mistakes hold you back! While making this card, I accidentally got a little ink smudge on the base. Instead of starting over, I layered a second stamped vest and added embellishments. The “oops” became part of the design—and I think it made the card even cuter.

👉 Always remember: there are no mistakes in crafting, only opportunities for creativity!
