Pootlers Team Blog Hop – January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue!

Another Pootlers new catalogue blog hop! This time its the January – April 2023 Mini Catalogue. I love this new catalogue – I’d like to own almost every set in it!

This is the card I have made. It’s a quick and easy card where the DSP does all the work.

I have used a floral image to do tone on tone stamping on the Balmy Blue card base.

Layered a strip of DSP onto a strip of Sweet Sorbet and then onto the card base

I have stamped the sentiment with Sweet Sorbet and then added some Pastel Adhesive backed Sequins.

Another Pootlers new catalogue blog hop! This time its the 2022 – 2023 Annual Catalogue. I love this new catalogue – I’d like to own almost every set in it!

I love the beautiful images in the Wild & Sweet Stamp Set, they are so detailed. I just wanted a very simple background for this gorgeous panda. The Watercolour shapes provided the perfect Sun with Daffodil Delight and I just brushed some Night of Navy ink to create a sky. The sentiment from In The Moment stamp set seemed so apt.

Pootlers Team Blog Hop – January to June Mini Catalogue.

Another Pootlers new catalogue blog hop! This time its the 2022 January to June Mini Catalogue. I love this new catalogue – I’d like to own every set in it! It’s no secret that I love butterflies and bees so i was excited when i saw this set with the bees.

Most of what I have used here is from Heart and Home Suite but I have also used some dies from Tropical Layers Dies and a piece of the Layering Designs vellum.

Scrapbooking Global Blog Hop July 2020 – Monochromatic with Timeless Tropical, Beautiful World and Wildly Happy #stampinup

I have used a sheet from In good Taste Designer Series Paper which is mostly Basic Gray and textural, I stamped on it with Basic Gray using stamps from Timeless Tropical, Beautiful World and Wildly Happy. I chose 8 pictures and 1 scrap of whisper white card stock and cut them to 6.8 cm squares and matted onto 7.2cm squares of basic black card stock. I arranged them in this grid pattern as i see it a symbolic of a windows into the past. All the products I have used are available to purchase from my online shop by clicking on the product pictures listed at the bottom of this page.

Oh my goodness I thoroughly enjoyed this process – it is so therapeutic I am already working on a layout with pictures of my maternal granny. This journey has only just begun!

My project this month is a little mini album made from 1 sheet of A4 card stock and some beautiful Designer Series Paper.

Measurements:

Full sheet of A4 cardstock

On short side score at 7cm and 14cm

On the long side score at 7, 7.5, 14.5, 15.5, 22.5 and 23.5cm

With your chosen Designer Series Paper you need to cut

12 squares 6.6 x 6.6 cm

2 pieces 5.8 x 6.6cm (top flap)

3 pieces 6.6 x 3.2cm (pockets)

Consider the direction of your paper when cutting – I do discuss this in the video.

Inspired Ink Bloghop – Embossed Anniversary with Stampin’ Up! Best Birds

Here we are with the July blog hop already. This month’s theme was chosen by Sally – it’s Embossed Anniversary. I thought of these love birds right away because i love the best birds set and knew it would be perfect for embossing. This theme has provoked special memories for me as today 28th July 2018 would have been Mum and Dad’s 62nd wedding anniversary unfortunately Dad died 35 years ago. We were always on our summer holidays somewhere in South of England in our handmade caravan when their anniversary came round, so lots of fond memories. This one’s for you Dad – miss you loads.

I made the card above for this hop and then I filmed the method when making the one below.

Measurements

The base card is an A4 sheet cut in half long ways and folded in half.

The first layer is 14.4cm x 10.1cm

The top layer is 14cm x 9.7cm

I used the large ‘hessian’ like stamp to give a textured background then stamped the branch where i wanted it. The birds and sentiment were stamped with versamark and heat embossed with gold or silver. The images were coloured using wink of stella and my chosen ink colours.
